The Kärntner Demenzforum (Carinthian Dementia Forum)was launched 6 years ago and started organising a series of talks by highly qualified experts on the subject of dementia and in turn received considerable attention. Over the last 6 years this forum has grown and since developed into an international conference. This year it will be held under its new title “First Alps-Adriatic Dementia Congress from 11-12 October in Velden under the patronage of the Minister of Social Affairs, Mag.ª Hartinger-Klein.

Outstanding Dementia Expertise

The Alps-Adriatic Dementia Congress 2018 offers a series of talks by national and international experts on the topic of dementia. Prestigious speakers provide an insight into their latest scientific findings (previous speakers included, among others, Markus Hengstschläger, Manfred Spitzer and Peter Dal-Bianco). Over 2 days, this event presents an interesting platform for approximately 800 participants including doctors, members of staff and decision-makers in the sectors of care and assistance for the elderly as well as representatives of funding organisations and dementia sufferers and their relatives.

The Alps-Adriatic Dementia Congress is a two-day specialist congress and offers talks and workshops on the topic of dementia with top speakers, doctors and therapists.

Internationaler Focus auf Dementia

This specialist two-day event is being organised by the AHA-Group, the largest private operators of retirement homes and care homes in Carinthia, and the Carinthian Medical Chamber. “The European Union endeavours to encourage co-operation between border regions.

The strengthening of the regions and great regional interest in our event led us to hold the 6th Carinthian Dementia Forum under its new title of “1st Alps-Adriatic Dementia Congress” on 11 and 12 October 2018 in Velden. We wish to continue broadening our strengths and extending our competence range in the field of dementia in the Alps-Adriatic Region and serve as a think-tank for other regions.

Dementia represents a significant political, economic and social challenge for our society. We all have a responsibility to contribute to the topic of dementia – the state, the community, families and every single individual”, said Mag.ª Natali Mosser (AHA-Group) explaining the involvement of the AHA-Group as the organiser of the Alps-Adriatic Dementia Congress.

Casineum Velden will play host to the Alps-Adriatic Dementia Congress on 11 and 12 October.
